Reduced November production on the Norwegian shelf

The Norwegian petroleum production decreased by 1.1 million standard cubic metres from November 2008 to November 2009.

The production on the Norwegian continental shelf averaged daily about 2,055,000 barrels of oil, 292,000 barrels of natural gas liquids and 68,000 barrels of condensate, in November, according to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate. That's a total 2,416,000 barrels of liquid.

In total, 20.5 million standard cubic metres of oil equivalents were produced in November, 1.1 million standard cubic metres less than in November 2008. NGL remained the same from November 2008 until November 2009, whilst the oil, gas and condensate production decreased by respectively 0.6, 0.4 and 0.1 million standard cubic metres.

Production from Snøhvit, Vale and Volund were closed in November.

"So far this year the average daily production has been about 2.0 million barrels of oil and the total liquid production  about 2.3 million barrels. Total production so far is about 217.8 million Sm3 o.e. This is 1.7 million Sm3 o.e. less than in the same period last year", NPD writes.
